Parents Involvement

At The Lookout, we believe that strong partnerships between families and educators are key to a child’s success and wellbeing. Families are welcomed as true partners in the life of our centre, and we make it a priority to build meaningful, trusting relationships with every parent and carer.

All families are warmly welcomed, valued, and respected at The Lookout. Our educators pride themselves on building genuine relationships and getting to know each family personally, ensuring that every child and their unique background, culture, and needs are truly understood and supported.

We proudly support families through a range of annual services, including car restraint safety checks, speech and vision screenings, and a variety of fundraising initiatives that benefit both local and global communities. Our charity drives—such as clothing donations for flood victims and Christmas gift collections for children in need—further foster a spirit of giving and community care.

To ensure consistent alignment, we host annual family functions, parent-teacher interviews, menu feedback sessions, policy discussions, and guest speaker events on valuable topics like building resilience and preparing children for school.

In line with our commitment to celebrating a diverse range of family sizes, cultures, and backgrounds, we warmly encourage families to share their time, skills, and stories with the children. Whether it’s volunteering in the classroom, reading a story, or contributing to cultural celebrations, there are many opportunities for parents to get involved.

We regularly invite families to join us for special occasions and events that bring our community together—strengthening the bonds between parents, children, and educators, and making The Lookout a true extension of home.
